I loved Lilly's treehouse, it's a great location in the forest and Lilly is the man you want to know in Portsmouth. He's a great guy!

Hi, welcome at Lilly's!

Get to know Lilly and Lilly's guesthouse!!

This area used to be wild bush and farm land. In 2009 we started building our house in Brandy estate next to the river. Soon after, we decided to open a Guesthouse. Everything you see on the land has been built by Lilly himself. There is a large variety of fruits and vegetables growing in our organic garden. Perfect for a bed with a nice homegrown breakfast.

Cheers!!

Lilly's guesthouse accommodation options

We  offer a tree-house with a private outdoor shower and toilet.

The Hammockhouse is available for all of our guests. You can spend your day or evening relaxing, reading, sleeping, playing a game there. This also is the place where we serve breakfast (and dinner on request).

As soon as you enter the premises you will be surrounded by fruit plants and trees. Fresh seasonal fruits will provide your breakfast. Have a look at our photo galleries for an impression!

Back to basics

There is a limited amount of electricity from solar panels. But the best night view is the full moon, accompanied by the sounds of the river, crickets and frogs. The guesthouse is on the Waitukubuli walking trail. A trail that runs from the south of Dominica up to the north and has 14 sections. We are on section 11 of the Waitukubuli trail.

A perfect Caribbean hide-away!

Go with the flow...

Once you've ended up at Lilly's Guesthouse and decided to go with the flow you'll be surprised where you'll might end up. It could be selling fish with Lilly, loading a pickup full of coconuts or picking grapefruits to sell at the local markets. :) Head over to this page for more thing to do during your stay in Dominica.

Wonder how to kill your time?

Things to do at Lilly's

Well, just start with a hike and visit one of the many waterfalls around. Or you can choose to go out on the boat and explore the island from the water. If you would like to go fishing, snorkling or swimming just ask Lilly, as he can be your guide.

Explore Dominica from the waters!

Up the Indian river

Make a tour on the beautiful Indian river. At this location they shot part of the movie Pirates of the Caribbean.

Horseback riding and hiking

You can go horseback riding around the area or you can take a hike and get lost in the forest... : ) Lilly will find you, most likely!!

National park

Visit the Botanical gardens, Cabrits national park or Kalinago territory where the indigenous people of Dominica, the Carib indians, live. The Waitukubuli Trail, a walking trail that winds from the South to the North of Dominica.

Over here it is excellent bird watching, such as hummingbirds and parrots. And if you enjoy photography there are plenty of options here too.

If you like birdwatching we have different species of hummingbirds in our garden as well, and very often the parrots will fly right over.

Anyway, just relax... and enjoy Caribbean life.

Rates & contact options

Bed and Breakfast

The treehouse is priced at US$ 70 per night. It has a twin bed and a private toilet and shower. All prices include breakfast. We would kindly ask you to pay on on arrival and  in cash as we do not have any creditcard facilities.

Lilly will make you a great cup of coffee to get you going!!

Dinner

If you would like a local dinner the price depends on the catch of the day. The price would be between US $5.00 and US $10.00 per person.

Transportation

An airport pickup will be US$ 40. If you decide to rent a car at the airport yourself, we would like to suggest to get a  4-wheel drive. There are taxies driving between Melville Hall airport en Portsmouth, They will charge you between US$ 35 and US$ 50 per person. But prices might be negotiable. Local transportation is available as well, but there are no time schedules and most of the buses stop driving after 6pm.

Other Activities

Ask Lilly to be your guide and arrange a price on the spot. :)

Good to know!

There is no WiFI on the premises. Perfect if you really want to get away from city and business life. We do understand that it might not be so convenient but up until now it seems impossible to get a wifi box where we re located. A good alternative is to buy a phone card at for example Digicel with internetdata on it. About 80 Eastern Caribbean dollars for a month and add the price of the phone card.
